Backstage, your project will have regular alignment and review sessions to ensure our entire facilitation faculty are learning from the goings on in every workshop and that the workshops are consistent across cities. We run routine project management meetings with you keeping your team aware of what we are learning, and you providing us with new context to inform our next round of sessions.

Where have we done this?
2,800 cabin crew went back into the skies quickly after the pandemic. The airline needed a large trusted team to help them get the workshops designed and delivered in multiple ports around the world, and quickly. At one point we ran eleven workshops in five cities all on the same day. We also learned how to pour a G&T while wearing a face mask.
Data science people leaders in London, India and Australia all learning with our global team of facilitators. A mix of live and virtual sessions helping deliver outcomes for the regional L&D team.
The design of modules for a leadership program at a banking tech start. The L&D team were both resource and time poor and called us in to the design their Essential Leadership Program. We conducted a train the trainer to up skill their internal vacillation team to deliver the content globally.

The name 10,000 hours comes from the work of K. Anders Ericsson. He wrote the academic paper that Malcolm Gladwell later popularised in his book Outliers. Ericsson’s study found those at the top of their game, masters of their craft, have no less than ten thousand hours of deliberate practice. The most important part of the insight is the deliberate practice being done. We use deliberate practice in all our work.

Like any other esteemed profession, we believe our field of organisational facilitation and executive education has continuing education requirements. To that end we undertake group supervision, attend our own study groups and group interest groups. We present papers at academic conferences on complexity and group psychotherapy. We read widely and prepare cases for peer review modelled on medical practice. We subject ourselves and each other to regular critical review and feedback by peers and external specialists.
