Progressing to Partnership in a Big 4 firm

We teach senior professionals the market-facing, business-building, and team-leading skills they need to succeed as Partners.

Every year a high potential cohort of future partners in a Big 4 firm are invited to a professional development experience to prepare them for the demands of the most senior role in their global firm. The technical skills are not in question, that's why they're here. What is needed is dexterity in the subtle and intelligent craft of people management, team dynamics, business development and collaboration across boundaries. The cohort is whip-smart, time-poor, and wary of the impractical.

Our brief was to design launch events for the 100+ cohort, convene smaller groups across the country in peer-based supervised learning, and run skills clinics that quickly and durably teach the interpersonal and communication skills needed for success in the demanding role of Partner. Everything we designed and delivered had to be compatible with other existing firm-led learning materials and approaches and be approached collaboratively with our client. The program is more than 5 years old and is a staple of the firm's development calendar. In collaboration with our client, the program has been expanded and iterated over the years.

“Your deep knowledge of our firm, our language and strategy makes the learning so effective. I wondered how long you had been working here"
